The Busy Person's Retreat is exactly what the title says. It is an opportunity to take a week of retreat even in the midst of your busy schedule. If you don't have time to take a whole weekend and go away on a retreat, this is your chance!
During the week, the busy person will carve out various amounts of time for spiritual direction, from a pastor or spiritual director, once at the beginning of the week and again at the end. During the week there will be intentional time for prayer, Bible reading, and spiritual reading. The retreat is designed to fit around a busy person's schedule so that even the busiest person can find time to set aside to grow spiritually.
Jesus tells us in the Gospel: "What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life?". Matthew 16:26 Sometimes we get so busy that we neglect and even forget the most fundamental and basic dimensions of human life.
"Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts." - Mother Teresa
"We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls. " Blessed Mother Teresa
