This versatile tool can help with all of that! Basil is a hairy plant, grows up to three feet in height, and has white flowers. It is a native of Asia, but is now grown in Europe, North Africa, and Reunion. Basil essential oil is among the oils I go to when I need to focus and stir up some creativity. Basil oil is an energizing oil and is best used during the morning and daytime hours. Blends well with Bergamot, Helichrysum, Lavederr, Geranium, Wintergreen, Cypress, Frankincense, Wild Orange, Rosemary, White Fir, Myrrh. My current favorite is to blend it with Wild Orange! In fact this morning, I woke with a little head tension and still feeling a little bit sluggish - I added a couple drops of basil and wild orange to my unscented lotion. Love. Basil Essential Oil is a great on to reach for when symptoms such as chest and sinus congestion show up. Basil Oil is also said to help with headaches. The really bad ones that are accompanied by light sensitivity, upset stomach... there is help for that too - Basil 4 drops, Ylang Ylang 3 drops, Marjoram 3 drops, coconut oil 6 drops, gently blend and apply to back of neck, muscles at base of neck and on temples. Drink water . For feeling tired: Basil 2 drops, Rosemary 2 drops, blend together and apply to bones behind the ears and rub hands together and make warm and then inhale –great for long drives to stay clear. hiccups?... you guessed it - Basil! soothes smooth muscles - just inhale, give it a try some time!
