“The truth is, what you do matters. What you do today matters. What you do every day matters. Successful people just do the things that seem to make no difference in the act of doing them and they do them over and over and over until the compound effect kicks in.”
In his article about how to develop the discipline to taking those step, Michael Hyatt points out that sometimes it is three steps forward and two steps back. Just shake it off and re-lock on your goal - write down at the end of the day what you did, and celebrate the one step forward, don't dwell on the two steps back :-) You've heard it said, that people speak about what they need to hear - that's me today! Going to celebrate the steps forward and keep on going!
What step are you celebrating today? What disciplines are you focusing on?

Ralph Waldo Emerson argued that a gift is only worthwhile if it is integrally related to the gift-giver. He said,
"Rings and jewels are not gifts, but apologies for gifts. The only gift is a portion of thyself. Thou must bleed for me. Therefore the poet brings his poem; the shepherd, his lamb; the farmer, corn; the miner, a stone; the painter, his picture; the girl, a handkerchief of her own sewing."
My passion in life is to help people to discover their gifts. To be honest, the real fun in that is that most of the time, I find that people really, already know what their gift is. Once there is a better understanding of gifts and the permission is there to offer it to the world, it also becomes ok to acknowledge it. I love everything about the process of that! When we are free to offer the gift we are given to the world around us, life starts to make more sense, it starts to fill with a joy that is not dependent on our circumstances or outcomes. We even have more patience for the things that have been driving us crazy! That is life abundant. That is the love we are designed for - to give and to receive.
David Viscott, an internationally known psychiatrist, said this In 1993 the volume “Finding Your Strength in Difficult Times: A Book of Meditations”
The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
In the book of 1 Corinthians, chapter 12 it says this about gifts,
"There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. "
Years ago, I discovered my passion for empowering others to move in the direction of their passion and giftedness. This has taken on many different expressions over the years. I think I finally found a vehicle for my gifts and passion that is free of limitations that sometime the realities of life circumstances will bring. Two years ago, I discovered the power of essential oils - this has been a powerful vehicle for bringing my gifts to the world as I move around in it.
We have many things in common. To maximize our potential, to carry out our mission and live out our life purposely and in abundance. we all need to be whole, we need to be well. I love that I get to educate and empower others in re-imagining wellness, wholeness. It is an absolute joy to see the passions, the gifts of others be put into play, making a difference in the world.
What are you passionate about? What are your gifts? How are you giving your gifts to the world around you? The only wrong answer here. Everyone has something to give that no one else can. Discover it. Celebrate it. Honor it by giving it away.
